West Nebraska Arts Center, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, is pleased to present the 2020 President’s Show, an exciting collection of original artworks based on a theme. This year's theme is: "Miracles” and was chosen by Cher Maybee, WNAC Board President. She got the idea of this theme from a poem called Miracles by John Knight. This is a judged show open to all media and artistic styles, participants are invited to submit original artwork that conveys an interpretation of the theme. Executive Director, Michele Denton, says, “I love how universal this show is and it comes at a perfect time. The summer may not be what we are used to, but it still can be wonderfully creative. It is curious that 2020 would open our eyes to a new normal. It’s always great to see this community coming together and pushing through these odd times. This exhibit is truly perfect to remember just how lucky we are to have so much talent within our town. Make sure to stop by to see this great show.” The exhibit opens Thursday, July 2nd , with a reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide live music like before advertised. However, we will be serving hors d’oeuvres and other refreshments compliments of our Board of Directors members. Gloves and masks will be used for serving of the food. All are welcome to this free event.
