WHAT'S UP?
A summer self-advocacy course for students with disabilities! "It's All About the Plan!" allows students to learn about and practice self-advocacy skills. Including hands-on activities, community speakers, and e-learning tools. Developed through a partnership between Disability Rights Nebraska, Arc of Lincoln / Autism Family Network, and Fritz & O-Hare Associates.
WHY SELF-ADVOCACY?
Self-Advocacy skills help people speak up for what they need and want in life. It is especially important for students with disabilities to learn how they can make their voices heard!
WHO'S INVITED?
Any Scotts Bluff County student with a disability, ages 14 to 21. Sign up now! Space limited!
WHAT DOES IT COST?
It's free....thanks to a Nebraska VR grant! Assistance with transportation costs may be provided, as needed.
